Amanda is a native Marylander, born and raised in Anne Arundel County. She attended undergraduate school at Washington College on the Eastern Shore of Maryland where she majored in sociology, minored in psychology, and had a pre-law concentration. After graduating with honors in 2005, she attended the University of Baltimore School of Law. In her final year, she practiced as a Rule 16 Student Attorney in the Family Law Clinic representing low-income domestic violence victims. She was also a Student Fellow for the Center for Families, Children and Courts.

Immediately after law school, she obtained a judicial clerkship with a Family Law Magistrate (now District Court Judge William M. Dunn) at the Circuit Court for Baltimore City. Thereafter, she joined a Glen Burnie law firm and helped cultivate their family law practice for approximately 15 years.

Amanda lives with her family in Anne Arundel County and is active in her community. She has extended family in the area, and she places a high level of importance on the values instilled in her from her family, especially her grandmother.

She is a strong advocate for clients throughout Maryland and engages in a client centered approach, tailored to individual needs and goals. She carefully works with clients to find workable solutions and favorable settlement options. If a resolution cannot be reached, she is a confident and seasoned litigator in the courtroom.
